MIAT College of Technology Aviation Maintenance Students Rank Top 5 in First Aerospace Maintenance Competition in Dallas, TX
AMC, co-hosted with Aviation Week Network’s MRO Americas, offers aerospace maintenance professionals and students the opportunity to participate in a series of timed events highlighting various tasks encountered in the field.
“The MIAT Mustangs put in a great showing for their first time at AMC. They worked incredibly hard, training and training like any athlete would for an important competition,” commented Michael Riccardelli, Houston campus aviation A&P instructor and MIAT Mustangs trainer. “I’m incredibly proud of the team. They came out to compete and their efforts paid off.”
The student team included Aiden Shih Garcia, Erik Hersche, Diana Garcia, Garrett NasrallahBrian Veiga and Ryan Pernarelli. “MIAT Mustangs were extremely honored to be selected as one of three United-sponsored aviation maintenance schools, from Houston local airline,” said Titus Hubbard, director of the MIAT campus. “These competitions allow our students to test their skills on the competition field while being exposed to the future of aviation. I look forward to seeing the team continue to excel in other competitions, throughout of his time at MIAT, and in their future careers in the aviation industry.”
