Illinois man needs help naming his jeep
Honestly, besides sharing this man’s riddle, I wanted to drop some “here’s when this and that started” but the search isn’t as easy as I thought. First I wanted to explain when people started naming their vehicles. Surprisingly, even Google Search is scratching its head over the issue. (Yo, Elon Musk, can you buy Google and find an answer? Thanks.)
Next, I wanted to share when the recent Jeep obsession became, but that’s also a dead end.
WHAT IS THE DUCK?
It’s safe to say you either love Jeep models or don’t care at all. Personally, I’ve always wanted a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. I don’t know when the obsession started or why, but it’s on my “must have before I die” list. Besides owning a Jeep, I would love to belong to a club like Screw City Jeeps 815, a group you may have seen driving together in northern Illinois.
The real reason I want a Jeep isn’t because of a club though…
I want to play Duck, Duck, Jeep. I not only want to walk to my Jeep and find a rubber duck waiting for me, but I also want to give them away.
Do you know when the whole Jeep/Duck thing started?
Totallythebomb.com (what a great URL) says it started in 2020 in Ontario, Canada. You can read about it here.
NAME THE JEEP
A man from Rockton, Illinois recently purchased a Jeep and now needs help finding a name. This man, known to many simply as “Peavy”, contacted me to comment on some of his ideas. They were all “meh” and I was honest about it before he got stuck with a less than exciting tag for his vehicle.
Here is his Jeep…
Ok, let’s help me name this girl!
For reasons I don’t even want to ask, he specified that it was a female Jeep. So, with that in mind, what should he name his Jeep? He is looking for something “not obvious”. Post your suggestions here or drop them in a comment.
