Football Benet Academy faces Sainte-Rita in the city where the Redwings are dominated by the Mustangs. This highlight is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.
We have bugs, rain and most importantly Friday night football as Benet Academy heads to town to take on Sainte-Rita. Both teams enter Week 4 with a 1-2 record.
We start this game in the 2nd quarter as Tommy Ulatowki of St. Rita finds BJ Hall for the gain of 25 yards.
Same training, St. Rita makes his way into the red zone and at 3rd base, Ulatowski looks for Calvin Lee in the end zone, but he is abandoned. The Mustangs would miss the basket and return the ball on the downs.
Last minute of the 1st half, Ulatowski throws at EJ Nwagwu who makes good cuts to push them up the field for a big gain.
Saint Rita transforms the journey into points. Ulatowski throws a 50-yard bomb into Nwagwu’s arms, giving them a 7-0 lead before half-time.
At the start of the third quarter, Ulatowski once again found Nwagwu on the sidelines for a solid gain.
The next play, Kyle Clayton took over to the stomach for a 25-yard touchdown. 14-0, Mustang.
Benet would return the ball straight to St. Rita and it would lead to Ulatowski with a nice pass to BJ Hall for the 30-yard grab.
They once again turn a big game into points. Ulatowski hands it to Clayton who pushes and works his way into the end zone for the touchdown. Now 21-0.
Last game of the 3rd quarter. Redhawk Anthony Picciolini takes a big hit in search of Ryan Snell and the ball is beaten, but it is then picked up by Johnny Schmitt.
In the 4e, following the interception, Benet’s Joseph Keough replied with a plunging pickaxe to retrieve the ball. What an effort from the elder.
The Redhawks are looking to take advantage of it. Picciolini finds Michael Lawler running through a defender to get him near 10.
Benet tries to get on the board, but St. Rita’s defense stands up and keeps the offense out of the end zone to help the Mustangs complete the shutout. 21-0, the final.
