On sale right now on duPontREGISTRY.com is a one-of-a-kind Ford Mustang that has a tremendous amount of history and charity behind it. This 2009 Ford Mustang named “AV8R” was first created for the Gathering of Eagles charity auction at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh in 2008.
The team behind this marvelous Mustang included Doug Gaffka, Mustang’s Chief Design Officer, and Paul Randle, Mustang’s Chief Nameplate Engineer. As for what they’ve done specifically to make the AV8R a fully custom build, there’s a lot.
For power, the Mustang AV8R relies on a supercharged 4.6-liter V8 engine capable of producing 400 horsepower. Mated to the engine is a 6-speed manual gearbox. Other mechanical features include the Ford Racing Handling Pack with shocks, lowering springs, anti-roll bar kit and strut tower brace, and Ford Racing tuned exhaust.
The Mustang AV8R is distinguished by a special satin livery inspired by the world of aviation. There’s also a glass roof cowl with Star-in-Circle badge laminated glass, Mustang Bullitt grille, and more. Inside is an interior that includes unique “bomber jacket” leather inserts. Additionally, the interior is where you will find the signatures of the following: Carroll Shelby, Jack Rousch, Edsel B. Ford II, Paul Randle, Harrison Ford, Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth.
With just 66.1 original miles on the odometer, this incredibly unique Mustang is ready for a new home. For more information, click the button below.
