Binghamton Toyota dealership sold to Pennsylvania-based company

A veteran Broome County car dealer has announced his retirement and the sale of the business.

Michael Corey, president of Jack Sherman Toyota in Binghamton, notified customers in an email of the change in ownership.

Corey’s message said the dealership will become Williams Toyota of Binghamton.

The Court Street operation will be part of Sayre, Pennsylvania-based Williams Auto Group.

Corey said the new owners will continue to provide the same level of service that customers have been “accustomed to for over 50 years of our existence”.

Corey noted that Williams Auto Group has “a lot of experience running their dealerships” in the Sayre and Elmira areas.

Representatives for Corey and Williams were unavailable in recent days to comment on the sale.
