2022 Ford Mustang gets stealth edition, more special treatment
The current generation Ford Mustang is set to bow out with the 2022 model, but don’t be sad: the company has a few surprises in store. It starts with two special editions and packages that were announced today.
For the first time ever, Mustang will add a Stealth Edition appearance package based on the 310 horsepower EcoBoost Premium four-cylinder coupe. Slightly different from the existing Black Accent package ($ 1,600), this edition gives the Mustang a more menacing look with unique blackened appointments.
The list includes 19-inch ebony black painted aluminum wheels, black pony badges, performance rear spoiler, black mirror caps and new transparent LED taillight covers, also shared with the new appearance package. The Stealth Edition is available in Atlas Blue, Carbonized Gray, Dark Matter (blue) and Shadow Black.
Also announced today, the updated 2022 Mustang GT equipped with the California Special Appearance Package pays homage to the blacked-out grille, side racing stripes and rear fender scoops of the stock trim.
Heritage-inspired “GT / CS” side stripes range from the front fenders to the iconic rear fender scoops. A California Special badge in Ebony Black and Race Red adorns the trunk lid, while the honeycomb grille with “GT / CS” badge offers a unique look.
A larger front splitter, performance rear spoiler (coupe only), unique 19-inch five-spoke painted machined wheels and iconic strut stiffener with California Special badge on the 5.0-liter V8 engine are included. other strengths. The suede-trimmed seats feature contrasting red stitching and the embossed “GT / CS” logo, as do the floor mats.
